Dear Colleagues,

In accordance with APS policy, the current Nominating Committee, which was elected by the membership in 2017, contains no Councilor or Officer of the Society. The Committee will be developing a slate of candidates in the coming weeks, and we are writing now to ask for your input. These positions are very important in the leadership of the Society and in determining our future direction. If you have suggestions for candidates for any of these positions, please email them to me before February 8, 2019. Per APS bylaws, independent nominations for the Council receiving the signature support of twenty-five Active Members will automatically be placed on the ballot. Names forwarded by the Nominating Committee may not be limited to those provided by the membership; however, member input plays a vital role in the process.

All persons elected are required to be current APS members before taking up office, but membership is free and joining is easy! Apply online HERE, or contact Lauren Cline for details.
